The Wisdom of the Qur’an

Allah says in the Qur’an:

زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ الشَّهَوَاتِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ وَالْبَنِينَ وَالْقَنَاطِيرِ الْمُقَنْطَرَةِ مِنَ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَالْخَيْلِ الْمُسَوَّمَةِ وَالْأَنْعَامِ وَالزَّرْعِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَاللَّهُ عِندَهُ حُسْنُ الْمَآبِ

(Surah Āle ‘Imrān, 3:14)

"Beautified for mankind is the love of the joys (that come) from women and offspring; and stored-up heaps of gold and silver (heaps of dinārs and dirhams), and horses branded and cattle and land. That is the comfort of the life of this world. But with Allah is a more excellent abode."

(Surah Āle ‘Imrān, 3:14)

Prophetic Guidance

Our Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:

يُوشِكُ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ لاَ يَنْفَعُ فِيهِ أَحَدًا دِينَارٌ وَلاَ دِرْهَمٌ

(Musnad Ahmad 21996)

"A time will come upon the people when there will be nothing left that will be of use save a dinar and a dirham."
